The South West Model Engineering, Model Making and Hobbies Exhibition 2011
The 2011 South West Model Engineering, Model Making & Hobbies Exhibition will take place over the Royal Bank Holiday weekend from Saturday 30th April – 2nd May 2011. We expect to see over 12,000 visitors over our new 3 day event who will join us for our biggest ever event.
What we have in store:
• Huge 3 day flying display - see amazing model flying stunts
• Win a chance to fly a model plane at the show*
• New for 2011 - indoor railway hall with a variety of layouts on display
• Home to the UK Model Truck Championship
• Racing remote control cars and tank display area
• A large outdoor boating pool with demos from model boat and hovercraft
• An onsite ride on train!
Visitors will be amazed by the hundreds of displays from everything remote control; planes, tanks, trains, helicopters, boats, trucks and cars. Interested in more intricate handmade models, you won’t be disappointed, hundreds of static models will be displayed by the modeling clubs varying from model engineering displays, railway layouts and models that have taken 1000’s of hours to build. You may even bump into one of the many hand built Daleks or you may even see a R6-E1 unit or K9!
Enthusiasts can stock up on new parts, and buy new and used models to add to their collections. Families can enjoy great day out in the sun with an aim in experiencing new hobbies – why not join in with our Airfix workshop where you can build and paint your own model aircraft (age restriction applies).
With the success of 2010 South West Model Engineering, Model Making and Hobbies Exhibition we are looking forward to putting on an even better 2011 show!
